But that's not true, look at the soccer moms driving SUV's with a cell phone up to their ear running 85 in a 70,
They're not on elogs, they're not in a hurry, everyone wants to go fast

I really haven't seen any ELD opponents "acting like toddlers" in this thread, so I'm thinking perhaps you are referring to another thread. What I HAVE seen is ELD-huggers saying "....good ridens (sic). Just one less truck to compete against...." and posters name-calling ELD haters "Negative Nancys"
If new drivers today need training wheels and the submissive existing drivers can't grow a pair, let 'em have at it. Count me out though -
This is why the megas got behind elogs, the current HOS regs, and all the other "safety improvements" that impose a greater burden on smaller carriers and O/Os.jamespmack Thanks this.

Ok, bye bye. Leaves more freight for the adults who are not afraid to adapt to changing times.

I talk to at least 2 drivers a week, on the cb or in person, who say that elogs won't be mandatory in December and that it got shot down.
They think I don't know what I'm talking about,
I think a lot of drivers will be unprepared in 5 months.
Or maybe I'm wrong.peterd Thanks this. -
I feel the same way for the most part. HOWEVER, it's eLogs today. What are they going to feel emboldened to do next? Sensors on our body each night to record our sleep effectiveness and upload to FMCSA computers daily? This stuff never stops once the "control machine" gets started.
Technology is nice but it can lead to "bad things" down the road once criminal element and/or government capitalizes on it.Last edited: Jul 7, 2017

Yeah been on them for 5 or 6 years 2 different. Biggest money loss, 1st company cut trucks back. Not much but you lose $70 a week doesn't seem like much. Rough $3500 over the year.
