Hi there,
Im planning on driving a 26 Budget truck with a towed car from Baltimore to Boston on a Thursday morning.
I would appreciate any advice about:
Whats the best route?
Should I avoid 95 and the tolls (drive up 83)?
Where would be a good gas stop?
Do I have to stop at weighing stations?
Are there restrictions on entering Boston with a truck?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!!
DC to Boston????

95 North to NJTPK(Jersey turnpike).Follow over George Washington Bridge becomes 95 North again
Follow into Conn.to exit 47 I-91 North follow to exit 28 to I-84 East follow to
end Mass pike east -Boston
Where exactly are you going
Stay off Storrow Drive and Memorial Drive(low bridges)in Boston
I'm local -
Hi 04cobra,
Thanks!
I have driven via the George Washington bridge and cross Bronx Expy, and that seems a bit scary with a truck.
Would it be better to bypass NYC by taking the palisades interstate parkway and Tappen Zee bridge (87/287)??
I am going to Newton Center, so I assume that I would take 95 south from the MA turnpike and then get off at Boylston St.??
Do you have any idea how much the tolls would be for a 26' truck and a towed car?
Could it be more than double the cost for a regular car?
Thanks again! -
No just go GW the other way adds like 20 miles or so.I don't know about toll prices
