Anyone have knowledge of how CAA Tow trucks work in Ontario? How does it pay? Are you considered an employee of the towing company? Hours? Etc

What part of Ontario are you asking for? In the north they didn't pay too well, but I haven't been in talks with any of their drivers in years now.

southern ontario, gta

Afaik they're independently run. So you are a employee of the truck owner. Good, bad or indifferent

Afaik?

As far as l know. My tire shop had tow trucks contracted to caa. Plus another guy had 3? Tow trucks contracted to them also. I think the tire shop emplyees had the best deal myself. That way when towing was slow they worked in the shop.

Where are you located?
Where are you located?
From what I understand is this caa contractor runs on propane. Has maybe 10 trucks. And its by area...so another caa company cant cross into your zone and steal your calls. I live in a big city, so I dont think it would be slow, well that slow anyway
The company next to it in the next zone had 50 trucks...then I think it would be harder to get work
All the calls are on computer, not chasing them, but I guess if you wanted to tow a friend it wouldnt hurt either -
