I think skulls are/were out also. There was an L/O that had a skull and feather headdress on his truck (Native American) as it was his "family crest". IIRC, It took a meting with Robert Low to get that approved. Skulls aren't an image Prime wants to have on it's trucks.

I think they will get removed when someone "in the know" sees them.

Most of them are done by this place.

Not sure about company drivers, but likely possible if you want to pay for it, and the removal of whats on the issued truck. I really don't know for sure, but somehow knowing Prime, I'd be surprised if you couldn't.

Hi everyone, does anyone know Andrea Muellers email or do I have to call the main recruiting line and ask for her? I'm trying to make sure the recruiter I've been assigned isn't just trying to pull one over on me by telling me I must become a lease op to be hired by them because I live in Seattle. She said I am otherwise hireable. I feel like Andrea would be able to give me a solid answer or have the authority to tell me if there is any agreement I could make with them stating I have no expectation of being routed back to Washington when I take home time (no kids, no spouse, no mortgage, no lease, no reason I need to return)

Prime seems like a great company to start with but there is no way I'm agreeing to lease a truck I haven't even learned how to drive yet. If I can't be a company driver I will have to move along

First, you're not going to be forced to lease a truck before you are trained to drive. Second, between now and you finishing training a lot will change.

What your recruiter is saying for you to be the most successful based off of there current needs, freight contracts, and current drivers in the area, you becoming a lease operator would be the best option to get you home on a regular basis.

I'm from Seattle and recently it hasn't been easy to get back home. This time I actually had them route me to Houston so I could fly home. Spirit airlines roundtrip is usually $260. The Houston market is a good reload area anyways.

Oh yeah I understand I wouldn't sign before getting my license, but I would have only been accepted into their training program as a lease op if I didn't push the question. I have been an independent contractor for 7 years so I'm only interested in being an employee now and leaving that whole self employment headache behind. I contacted Andrea and she said I can be a company driver no problem as long as I have no expectation of being routed back to Seattle which is just fine since I have no reasons to return like I said. In the very unlikely event I had to come back, I would probably just do the same as you are! All working out in the end. Thank you for the flight idea, I've never heard of Spirit but that is pretty cheap for a flight from Houston!

You're very welcome. I actually got a flight from Houston to Seattle 2 days before I arrived and it was only $310 roundtrip. Everyone else wanted $600 plus.

If you push hard enough and ask all the right questions, you'll find the answer you're looking for at prime.

Yes, Prime does them all onsite and requires it whether or not you gotten one in your home state.

I would get in touch with Derek Stephenson. He was my recruiter and I have zero complaints about him. Prime itself is a whole different thing, but Derek is awesome. (I'm from the Seattle area too, that bus ride is brutal btw)

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm actually in my TNT phase right now and Andrea set it straight so I can be a company driver

What I can't believe is that my recruiter was so bad that not only did another person in my class who had her have the same issues, not only did the orientation manager know how bad she is, but the random survey lady from StayMetrics they have call you to rate your experience knew about her and said that once she hears the name she pretty much knows what she's going to get! I wonder how she has a job still haha. Having a great time at Prime though despite the lackluster recruiter :)
