Quick question. I arrived at this receiver with 3 and a half hours driving time left. Do I get that back after 8 hours in the sleeper?

So I would still have the 3 1/2 driving and the 5 hours on duty I had when I got here correct?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

he is saying that the 8 hours off leaves you with the same time you had available when you went OD/ Sleeper.

just watch for the trap on the other side of an 8 off.

Bean Jr. and Woodchuck88 Thank this.

I just need enough time after I drop this load to go 30mins down the road to a truck stop to take my full 10 hour break.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Ya Elogs I've been in the sleeper since 12:30 and can't drop this until 20:30 and this place only lets you park here before you deliver not after. Then I just want to go down the road to the petro for a full 10 hour.

Elogs Are good for split breaks.
I've never figured out how a split break works.

Your understanding of the split 8 is correct. You will get back the balance of whatever you had left on your drive time and 14 hour clock.

    Longarm and Woodchuck88 Thank this.
