Married couples would be better off driving separate trucks during the same hours then park and sleep together in the same place at same time.
Kinda hard to find a job that runs 2 trucks together pulling the same loads to the same places though.

True. If you find one, hub/wife teams should run it. Dedicated concert drivers and race teams sometimes have stuff like that.

I don't care what anyone says, you do not get any sleep/rest running team. No matter the truck or sleeper.

Werner doesn't change things unless it benefits them.On their website they have an online recruiter and I ask him or her what team pay was. That's not much more then what a trainee makes.

When I teamed with my Spouse after she was tested final and accepted after her 12 week salaried training time with me as a trainer. I was paid 1500 net salary which says train. Don't worry about the truck miles. So I spent the 12 weeks working through the FFE trainee's story book cover to cover which has specific goals across the entire 12 weeks expected of her at the end of that period.

She became my wife side of the husband wife team. She was paid about .32 I was paid .45 more or less I forget. My last company after FFE paid me .50 or very close to it later that year after 9-11

Anyway. There it is. Teaming. I get .45 She gets .32 add it up. .77 cents a mile to the truck, to the same bank account for both of us.

We run LA to Avenel NJ Drop and hook company loads return to LA twice every week. 2800 pay miles each week one way, round trip over 5600 miles Gross for the both of us that week for 5600 paymiles at .77 total to the truck/house payroll, comes out to 4315 per week gross pay.

65K gross that year, Perdieum was deducted which that was almost 14,000 dollars in total compared to 306 service days out away from home flat $45 dollars per day away from home. The resulting taxes returned almost a 5 figure payday which made a foundation for the next years savings goal of 10K to start working up to 20K savings the second year.

That way NO matter what happened or happens mileage wise we are essentially wealthy and independant. THAT means when dispatcher says let's go, it's literally "Let's Go." Ontario? No problem Let's go. That turned into McKesson runs, narcotics worth a million per load out of Memphis. Class attracts Class.

2001 stands in my mind as the best ever year in whole of all my life in trucking. Ever. The best bar none. So much payroll you could not spend it all. We owned a home on some land free and clear, cars paid for free and clear no debts to speak of except student loans in the future of almost 46,000 in total. Which also got paid free and clear in 10 years time.

scam>? I call it BS. Are you so sad and miserable in this trucking life that you cannot rest a few days and understand with some mental reason and clarity that you can and will make money teaming.

Teaming is the ultimate solution to the limitations of governor and elogs. You literally have a ocean of time each week to RUN. It's a higher level of trucking. A more special kind of it. No associated warehousing food lumping for two days for you teams. You are into something that is better, more profitable and so on around the block.

Scam? HA. I laugh at you.

I met such a couple last year in PA. Both in their '70's, pulling oversized loads (double wide trailers). Been at it for years in daycabs, sleeping in motels and home at least every weekend.
