1 sample... split into 2... temprature and ph are measured to prevent tampering... sample is sealed in front of you... you initial...done.

havent been yanked for a random yet... not that I have any worries. I here we may be tested on the road... when your number comes up, they wait till your near a contracted test facility... thennotify you and give you an hour or so to get there and provide a sample.

right now ive only seen people get yanked the moment they enter a terminal if their number is up.

my roomate tested positive... i never would have known except he left a note. Prime was professional enough to yank him from class by telling him he needed to straighten out some paperwork... as far as how they delt with him afterward, i dont know...

once, when his named was called at roll, another instructor reminded the instructor calling roll that he (my roomate) was the guy who chose to leave... i was confused until i read the note.

its hard to remember exactly, but I think it was 2 days from sample to notification.

You seem to have been a good and seemingly truthful voice for Prime unlike those guys at the prime site. I hope you'll be able to stick with it.

    Thanks

I have an 8 day week this week. for miles to be on my check all loads completed have to be scanned in by 1600 on tues. I came out of the house on Monday morning (a week ago) im unloading my second loas this week, as I write this.

    load 1- 158 mi empty 1321mi loaded
    load 2- 200 mi empty 1228mi loaded

2907 total... i am preplanned for another load for another 850 miles total, which i cant quite make by tues pm because im a few hours short... my FM made my appointment for wed when I get another 9 hourback from my 70...

it just puts me 850 up for next week.

solo drivers only see team loads in a repower situation... where we pick it up and get moving, because prime doesnt have a team in the area, and then the team catches us and we swap trailers. Ive only done this once...

right now i dont know if teams are taking solo runs... when i was training in team we woul get short runs that a solo could do in 2 or 3 days but the appt times would be such that only a team could do it legally... team runs tend to be produce and time sensitive...

you may say 2900 miles is not alot... but i run 55 to 58 mph... i run legal... and i get anywhere from 2 to 4 extra cents per mile because of my excellent fuel milage. im always early or on time, the only thing my FM has to worry about is what load can he get me to get me home every 4 to 6 weeks... I think that is why I am preplanned 90 percent of the time.

I always try to deliver with a fresh clock..if im not preplanned. that way i can get to another shipper that day or be as close as I can for a next day pickup.

appointment times can limit your milage time too... cant get the load if its not ready or reciever isnt open 24 hours or they are appointmnet specific... you cant show up to wal mart earlier than 1 hour (we do have a meat contract that wal mart lets us drop and hook whenever we get there but that is only one wally dist. center I know of)

Im company driver... i cant say ive seen anyone complain online that was. Lease guys its a business you run and are responsible for, my trainer made good money, but its alot more than just trucking. I have to manage my time and my fuel milage, they have to do the same and about a dozen other things

I am gad to see you are happy with prime. I have a applicatioin
with them and hope to hear back soon.. My only concern with
changing jobs is the slow down right now.. But i figure by the
time i come off my training things will have picked up..
What is the buz with company drivers about the slow down?
I hear a lot of talk about no loads right now, what have you
    heard?

i hear the north east is slow... some people (prime guys I know) have seen a slight slow down, others have not.

i havent slacked on miles and Im on my 4th straight pre planned load. wich means I already know where Im headed next before I unload my current load... im on a short one today only because im headed to the terminal... rather than have me dead head the 100 miles my FM had me go 80 miles north west and grab a load that delivers to a company around the corner from the terminal... that original 100 wouldnt have been paid to me cuz im coming in for personal reasons... but now I get the 80 plus the haul miles for a trip I had to make any way.

The North East has slowed a bit for everyone , almost think it was getting near Christmas and the holiday slow down.

Nice to see you have a FM that thinks and works with you

How long does it take to hear back from prime... I sent a application
last week and have not hear form anyone????
Does it take that long to do the back ground or are they not cutting
    back on new hires?
