Well this load got spooched up pretty good thanks to a slow unload on previous that chewed up half my day before I picked it up, then Pittsburgh evening rush hour ('nuff said there), then Cincinnati construction. Was supposed to deliver in Memphis this evening but ran out of hours so delivery rescheduled to tomorrow night. My Most Awesome Dispatcher has me dropping tomorrow morning and already has my next load from Blue Mountain MS to Summerville SC. Then probably from there to East Haven CT.

    Due home next weekend.

Didn't sleep well last night. $#@! APU quit blowing cold in the middle of the night. We should call fans Hot Air Redistribution Units. All mine was doing was relocating hot moist air from outside the truck to inside.

I restarted it and it did fine after that. I'm going to hope it was a fluke. We' see tonight.

Everything I see about APU's makes me glad we don't have them

They are great when they work, which is most of the time. They are like a truck engine, just smaller. They both break down from time to time.

I've had my regular truck ac do the same thing. Start it up and it blows warm humid air, shut it off and restart and it blows cold.

My APU ac is set at 69 degrees. When it cycles on, it's fridged, when it cycles off...not so much. So I'm laying in bed alternately freezing and sweating.

I suppose but when the truck breaks I get a motel room lol. They let us idle when we need to so that works for me. Also I've talked to a few drivers that had bad allergic problems with them from mold build up. I don't need any more trouble with allergies

    mitrucker Thanks this.
