    LOL give 10 percent of your income... So you have to pay in order to get closer to god..

    I remember reading about a story where somebody became stranded or something as such.. People they knew at the church would not let them stay at their house or help them.. The good old biker guys down the street was more then willing to help these people out and let them stay.. They said that changed their point of view toward church people.

    The problem with some churches is they expect tithes and offerings . You pay your tithes and then pass the plate again for other expenses . The Assemblies Of God clearly state this . Needs outside the church come from offerings that are in addition to tithes http://www.ag.org/top/Beliefs/gendoct_06_tithing.cfm
