LTL truck but good shape for it's age but, a/c intermittently quits for 5 to 20 minutes every 2 or 3 days. It has APADs system and light blinks slow/green (normal) when it quits which leads me to believe something is signaling clutch to kick out. Unit isn't freezing up, I've checked, and I replaced thermostatic switch @ evaporator. All pressure switch, bulkhead connector and clutch connections are corrosion free also. Don't see a relay for compressor clutch in PD box in dash....a/c is cold and performs well except when it doesn't....any ideas?

there is a relay on top of the blower motor if you remove the top connector. what does happen sometimes is that the #### x-pansion valve will get stuck and cause high psi.

Check what nasriza said first, but also if it's undercharged the expansion valve will freeze up. Then when it thaws, you have a/c again. Put some manifold gauges on low side and go from there.

Mine was doing the same thing. Turns out it was the climate control computer.
