To have a head on collision, someone had to cross into oncoming traffic. Does WHY really matter? Could have been texting, playing pocket pool, drunk, or attempting suicide whatever.

You need to make absolutely sure that your injuries are taken care of. You need to make sure that your down time and lost wages are compensated. Your insurance company is not going to look out for you. Do you understand what that means?

Its not on your record till after trial I don't think so I wouldn't even put the accident on the application.

You were not in a commercial vehicle therefore if you received no citation "it never happened". There is no need for you to ever bring it up in any pre-employment application as this incident is not applicable and quite frankly none of their business. Yes you were injured, but the injury will not impede you once healed. Would I tell a prospective employer I fell down a ladder 17 years ago - nope.

You have nothing to worry about provided your injuries do not disable you from trucking. Get yourself healed. Save your bills and go after the other man for it. You may or may not get made whole for them.

I don't see anything here that needs to be brought up in your future employement interviews. There is no problem for you provided your injuries heal and you are not disabled or limited from your trucking.

Do not ever refuse a ride to the hospital based on your thinking you are not hurt. There are a huge number of complications and other really serious problems that can arise in your body after taking a hit. Doctors are very good at finding them when you DO go to the hospital immediately after a wreck.

I don't have much else to add to what others have already said. I can only pretty much repeat it.

What number they use depends on many things, injuries, death, multiple dui's etc. A first timer might get the lower number.

The accident will show on your MVR once the report is filed. You need to have a copy of the accident report in your possession so you can show a prospective employer you were not at fault. Don't lie on an application over an accident that isn't your fault.

And, the comment that the accident report won't show up until the other guy's charges are adjudicated is not correct.

Two completely different processes. The accident report will be filed and posted when it is complete and approved. The convictions/dismissals will be reported when the court is done with them.

The charges are irrelevant for you since you didn't get charged with anything. Unless you actively make an effort to find out how that case goes you may never know what happened. And it really doesn't effect you anyway.

If you are seriously injured from the crash talk to an attorney immediately about it to make sure you get everything you are owed by the insurance company.

When applying for a new job I would List It as a not at fault accident... You don't want them to find it and think you're a liar and not hire you because you're not honest.

You are not at fault and it doesn't affect your driving record but you not putting it on looks deceitful and companies frown on that. I was in an at-fault accident about 10 years before I started Trucking and I just put it on there cuz I didn't have the exact date and just listed it as rear-ended /not at fault it didn't affect me getting hired. When I ask HR Director he told me to put it on there because he said if it shows up it just shows that either I don't remember enough to be a safe trucker or I'm not honest enough to work for this company.

Get a good enough lawyer and you don't need to worry about driving.

He refused testing, guilty and most likely you can pin a lawsuit on him . Although that's a hassle.
If this affects your employment in any way,
everyone on this forum needs to start writing letters out .
    Don't worry about it.
