It was an agreement to help the company stay afloat....you won't see it on your check as a deduction or anything as it's already figured into your wage.

I just put in an app and then had a phone interview with YRC out of Albuquerque for a road driver position. Don't know how long it'll take from there. But I'm simply going with something still located in NM for the sake of not wanting to switch my driver's license over yet and to also get my pickup truck paid off before deciding to move to another state in the interest of the job hunt. It's a team position, but that situation would seem more tolerable with the given work YRC line driving entails based on some of the past replies in this thread.

Just got hired on 2 days ago. It will take about a week and a half because you will do a drug screen and background check. After that time you will get scheduled for orientation.

So how's the new job going? What position you get hired on for? Linehaul or city?

So far so good. I got hired on as a liberal driver. Can't wait til I get more seniority to get better loads. But once I am out of Nashville I stay busy. Been to half of the US. Trying to work my way out west. Hopefully I will get out there eventually.

Nice. Can you explain the liberal driver? I applied for road driver is it the same thing? I am out of Dallas. And what do they start pay at? What's your average weekly miles? Are you solo? Thanks.

I am so confused by all of these threads. So I applied for road driver 2 days ago. Had phone interview today. Was given conditional offer of employment. Submitted my background this morning. So wondering how long the background takes? The interviewer said 40 hrs. Week and avg. 2100 to 2400 miles per week. No more info than that. I will be working out of Phoenix. So I don't know if I have a bid, extra board or what. It's all so confusing
