Need to find a different company asap there is so many companies out of chicago that are undercutting O/O on rates its ridiculous some of them have even figured out ways to change the Rate Conf. I dont know how these people sleep at night just feel bad for the guys on the road its bad enough as it is there is companies offering dispatchers a certain cut or percentage like a comission on eveything they cut owner ops. So honest people are hard to find

By law they are required to tell contractors what they are paid. If you are a per mile company driver asking a dispatcher with 50 drivers irrevelant questions you will probably just piss them off and draw a bad run.
Been there. Done that. -
Take your truck and leave. I never once had a hiccup with getting rate confirmations when I ran my own truck. I did have a really good broker I worked with, who would verbally quote me the rate/weight, then email it to me. This is after the first week or so of him calling, then sending the rate, then me calling him back. He had to prove his honesty to me, same as I had to prove my work ethic to him. I did always check what he said against the actual rate confirmation, but he never once misquoted it to me.
Though, this brings me to another point...I keep hearing O/O's post about dispatchers. Let's get something cleared up...unless you have hired a dispatch service, you don't have a dispatcher. It's your business and your truck, you determine when and where it goes, and for what rate. If not, you're potentially not meeting the IRS definition of a contractor. If they're withholding rate information, telling you when to come and when to go, and so on, they are treating you like a company driver. Move on, don't feed these loser outfits.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I accuse you of doctoring the rate sheet. Well, not really but you get the idea. It's just a piece of paper.
