If you drive flatbed they do take a small deduction for your initial Pope (hard hat, gloves, safety vest, and safety glasses) after that you're expected to purchase and pay for replacements as needed. Safety glasses are usually available for free at the shippers and consignee who require them on their property.

 

If you get the guy I had you'll be all set he was real cool and we came from 2 different worlds. He just talked on the phone for about 15 hours a day and then played rap music when I was trying to sleep, my only complaints. Also he knew I could drive so that truck did not stop moving For 4 weeks. Needless to say that guy was making some money off me.

 

Day three on the road. Already got 1000 miles on my belt and now going from Edison to VA then Ohio. Am doing al the driving which is cool. By Friday I should be at 2k miles.

 

You guys are getting the loads! My dispatcher is learning I'm not going to push it out here and that I'm here for 6 months then headed to a small outfit back home. so I get the shortest loads on the board. Pray you never go to bjs wholesale in Paramus NJ. I was just there and it took me a good 30 minutes to get around the corner of the store to leave.

 

Oh man sorry to hear that. I just sent 30 mins on 81 south. Four truck accident by ext 72. 80 miles out of home depot in VA. Then heading to Ohio

Being pushed like I didn't think was possible. I've got to pick up and deliver 2 separate loads tomorrow. One in Massachusetts the other in Maine. I'm also currently parked in a place I should not be haha. Must be they are really hurting for drivers cause I've never seen it like this.
