morehouse trucking

Ahhhh hammered on it to get to barstow and get some " me time" before I go into LA in the morn .
Had my truck washed and relaxing now .
After LA I go to dinuba ca and pick up for my favorite ! ....drum roll ! ...associated grocers in Springfield mo the midwests answer to c&s grocers out east lol.
Then I'm sure ill go to blue buffalo in Joplin and load for Omaha .
I haven't run into a morehouse dispatcher yet that I wouldn't trust with my daughter ....unlike you know who down the street that I wouldn't trust with my dog.

 

What a small world .
I ran into a guy here in long beach cal that used to drive for greater O and he had the same experience I did there ...only he lasted a year and a half there .
He now works for Olson moter lines in Omaha .

 

That seems to be the company ex universe drivers go to. Started calling it universe lite. Lol

 

He seemed happy and if anyone thinks I have a hard on for greater O management you should have heard this guy lol

 

I can't say enough good about morehouse so far .
They are friendly , great equipment , leave me alone to do my job ( legally)
, great shop people , compensated very well for detention and down time .......and dispatch is EXTREMELY organized !
I've yet to get bad p&d info here or be lied to.
By the time I deliver in Springfield mo next Tuesday it will be dang near 3500 miles in 7 days .

 

I'm thinking freight is hot everywhere about now. This is going to be my 3rd 3500 plus mile week, and I'm running a recap.

Thank goodness that I'm taking some time off this next week. Unfortunately, don't see much rest coming up. Sister is finally ready to bury her husband's ashes, and has a list of things she wants me to help with. She's really struggling with being lonely right now.

JD explained that to me in the Garage thread; sorry btw. Yeah I guess I could have run it; I'm rusty on the rules being an intrastate guy, btw.

 

Got home weds nite with 4077 paid miles in 8 days ...not bad .....going to Columbus oh tmw for mon morning.
Could have gone back to LA but I have to be home next weekend so they're keeping me close to home next week .
They offered me a pretty dang good deal on buying the truck I'm driving and if things are going this well in another 30 days I'm going to pull the trigger on it .

 

I don't understand all the he'll raising about elogs unless your a livestock hauler .
4100 miles in 8 days on elogs is due to dispatchers that have their act together and a driver that plans things out .
