Does anyone have a how-to guide or video on how to change a air compressor on a D12? Is it a matter of just unbolting the old one and bolting in the new one? Or is there anything special in the process I should know about?
How do you replace an air compressor on a D12?

I don't have any information on a D12 but can say it looks easier then the D13. I jumped right in on my D13.
1st drain most if not all the coolant
Then remove the 2 coolant hoses.
2nd remove oil feed line.
3rd disconect discharge line. 34mm I believe. Then the blue 1/4 line that goes to the governor.
4th the mount bolts and should come out.Jazz1 Thanks this. -

Awesome thanks guys I was gonna have the shop do it but I got the confidence to do it myself. I'm a new owner operator gotta learn to get my hands on and dirty
nax, stayinback, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 1 other person Thank this. -
Its just nuts and bolts and that's $400 you don't have to hand over to shop
OLDSKOOLERnWV and Death Hauler Thank this. -
Hey guys, I just wanted to close out this thread. You guys were right, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Honestly the thing that I had the hardest time was loosening the huge discharge line connection, otherwise it was a straight foreword remove and replace deal. Thanks for the help guys!

Is there an o ring or gasket between the compressor and front cover.
