Here is a kicker.
Federal law says 70 hours is the maximum you can work (Drive) every 8 days.
IIf the vehicle you are driving is a COMMERCIAL VEHICLE with a absolute weight rating of 10,001 pounds OR MORE, hauling property for a living (NOT PRIVATE PROPERTY, like moving your own house to a new house) you must comply with the maximum of 70 hours in 8 days driving.
If your truck is a commercial vehicle with a cargo for a living and you are using your CDL, it does not matter what kind of driving you do with it. You cannot work more than 70 hours in 8 days. (Drive time) Hourly pay is not a defense against the 70 hour restriction. -
ok thats good you like your job and your trying to get out of debt never said life was all fun and games i just said to enjoy it there is more to life than working at the end of the day its going to be your decision to get a second job i have no clue if its against the rules or not all i can say is do what you are comfortable with if you feel as if a second job wont impact your driving go for it get out of debt then you can go back to normal good luck

Another thing to think of. By policy most companies do not allow drivers to have a second job just so this issue cannot pop up.

I work one job.
13 to 14 hours a day sometimes. 65 - 70 hours in 5 days. Take 2 days off. So technically the clock is reset. And technically. I end up working 80 - 85 hours on the 8th day.
