I saw this broker list several loads on ITS today. I called them and the only info they would give out was fill out a carrier package. They sent me one, 17 pages long, without giving me info on the load. There is none of the normal things included such as Bond Insurance, banking info, references, MC number nothing.

The contract is one that says you are responsible for everything, you must sign away your rights to everything. This even includes your ability to call the customer unless they give you permission from the broker. In the package it states," Should a consignee refuse shipment .... the Carrier's liability with regard to warehousing shall begin ......"

So I googled them. "Danger -----Will Robinson"------ the address is a box in a UPS store.

There is not even an MC number included on the signature page of the contract.

    Hey Slay,
I work for League Logistics so maybe I can chime in. The Remit address is a PO Box like any company. That is very common. I work in the Orlando office and it's pretty nice, nothing special though.
Not telling you about the load is weird.. Whenever I take calls from drivers / companies I always tell them about the loads and not just try to get them to do a carrier packet. It makes no sense as you may not even want the load. Can't explain that to you, maybe just an off day for the guy / girl?? Anyway, in my opinion it is one the best brokerages out there but that's just me and to each his own. We work with thousands of carriers. As for the packet, my guess is that is all done up by lawyers and probably annoys us just as much as you. Anyway, keep trucking buddy.

Did a little digging. League logistics appears to be a home based operation in Orlando. (Their DOT docs put you in front of a condo on google maps) The DOT number shows broker authority and had been active for 2 years and 1 month. Has no rating on the free credit check sites, someone else can try to run them through a paid board. But the biggest turn off I've heard is the contract. If it can't be negotiated don't bother with them.
