Bunch of nutjobs.

 

Wonder how they plan on generating all this extra electricity? Anybody remember Fukushima? Chernobyl? Maybe they'll build thousands of windmills and destroy the bird populations. Or cover up thousands of acres of useable land with solar panels?

 

Flood every valley for hydro?

 

UK is a mess. I've lived over there twice and got sick from the pollution in London (asthmatic). Ride the tube and blow your nose later that day all black soot.

 

Selling record number of cars , and only lost 64 million last quarter.

 

Ive been over there, and can tell you from our experience that the railroad was key. It's possible to get to London a hundred miles away and get back home by dinner with the old high speed service on their esteemed deltic engines which were as fast as they needed to be.

Times have changed there quite a bit since our run over there and it's unfortunate. I think motor cars will hang around for a long time after 2040. And pricing will go up among private sales for running cars after the ban.

They are going to have to juice up electric supplies to beef the feeding of electric cars somehow. If you examine the UK, they rely on shipping to bring in certain things that sometimes in difficult situations might find themselves within 12 hours of running short of for the whole island from time to time. I wish them the best, but I would not be around in 2040 to see the havoc such a ban will do to the Land there. Those people will have to ride a awful lot of bikes if they have not already.
