Well after a little over 2 weeks I finally got a start date with Estes. This coming Monday. Longest I've ever had to wait for a background check hands down.

Question here: Where does a Regional Truck driver go with Estes ? I'm looking to switch from Truckload to LTL. Just trying to find out the details for a Regional Position within this company, or would it be better to go OTR with Estes? Both questions would help. Thx
-
I BELIEVE both positions are the same. They did have kind of a loose rule where they wouldn't put a Driver away from his home terminal more than 2 dispatches away. Then they tried a thing where they did a zone type system where guys East of the Mississippi would stay over there, Midwest guys would staty there, and same with west. I don't remember if the west cut off was Denver or what. But I think that fell thru pretty fast and it's back to wherever freight dictates. 5 days out unless you want to be out more. They give you a hotel card and every terminal has 2 or 3 hotels they use in the area. Some terminals have bunk rooms still. To mixed reviews. West Middlesex PA has them under the office and you can hear the office girls clopping around in their heels. Nashville's were very nice. Clean well lit. Set up dorm style and you have a bed and an end table. Those are the only ones I ever really checked out, I ran the system with Estes as a team so we never saw hotels or bunk rooms.

A recruiter called me and sent me an extra work form to complete. She says she'd get back to me as soon as she can after I complete it. I've really had my eye on Estes and Old Dominion. Recruiter hasn't called back just yet. This was Monday. Do I have reason to worry guys?
Oh and I applied to regional OTR. What is the pay like for this position?Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
No reason to worry dude it takes a while. What terminal you applying to? I forget the exact pay but you'll start out mid to up 50 cents per mile. 56 cpm comes to mind but I don't remember. You'll bring home $1,000 plus a week for sure. When I was extraboard team with them I was bringing home 1200sh. Teams get paid a bit more but it's not drastic. You prove that central can count on you to cover what they give you they'll keep you moving. How was the first week for @gsmith2332 ?
