There isn't a difference other than comfort. I run WS 4900s for HH and that's all I will run. They all have ISX with 18 sp now, and I am sticking to this spec because it works for me.

200k definitely sounds more reasonable & easier, & definitely take that into consideration.

    That's true & makes sense.

Will definitely check out Perkins. Why are they desperate? Company not doing well or is it due to trucker shortage??

Thank k you for your advice & time

Perkins is just the first outfit that came to mind, because I've dealt with them recently. A quick google search will turn up several superload companies.

Most all of them are needing help because you can't find anybody wanting to work anymore, can pass a drug test, and aren't idiots. If you can't find a job right now in the transportation field, you either don't want a job or you need to examine yourself to see what the problem is.

If you go with one of these companies, your first job is likely to be trailer assembly/disassembly /load/unload. It's hard work and only maybe half windshield time but if you pay attention you can learn a lot. You'll most likely also be hauling trailer components and other support equipment, mostly flatbed work.

I'm a pretty self confident driver, some would even say ####y, flatbed for 3 years with 3 months of dry van. I know what I'm capable of but I like a challenge, but this guy has balls that I could never have

Do you like hardwired or multiplexing?
Do you like plush interior or don't care?
Do you like "okay" HVAC or do you want something a little better?
Do you like Star Gauges or do you like the crappy ICU3? (I hate ICU3 with a passion)

If you're wanting to do heavy hauling, are you wanting to pull with low-boys?
I'd like a pusher axle 12.5k at least, but if you're wanting more off road, maybe get a tri-drive..depends on what type of heavy hauling you'd plan on doing...such as oversized OTR, mining equipment, logging equipment?
What sized tires are you wanting to run? Then you'll need to decide what axle ratio...
For PowerTrain, I'd stick with Detroit.

Don't think you can afford a trailer to pull 400k. Don't think you and I together can afford one.
