How hard is it to get into tankers at Stevens? Can you go straight into training with that or do you have to do your time with Reefer?

I think you have to be OTR fleet one year. Theyll train u on the tanks. Fair warning...it is very hot dirty work. But u get home at night.

I was at .30 when I left 3 years ago, with 18 months experience there. Been thinking about going back, I miss all those long hauls and staying away from the yard, and not having to go back to the yard for a friggin oilchange like I do now...

Do they have the CAT scale app yet? Do they still do OTR or run you regionally where you live? I kinda miss it to be honest.

But I've also heard they're putting lane shift alarms in the trucks and following distance governors, that would drive me insane. But still, looking back to where I was doing a couple longhauls a week wasn't bad at all. Been trapped in the midwest and south doing sub 500 mi runs with tons of time on them, or 1000 mile runs where I have less time than the 500 milers.

    SHOJim Thanks this.

Still getting the long hauls..Entire fleet going to automatic slowly with all the annoying buzzers yes lol
Yes you can download and use the CAT app if you prefer it. They do have some regional but I havent looked into it too much. They have the Texas intermodal railyard runs. $225 per day...home weekly.....If u live anywhere east of Texas they have some dedicated runs as well. If youre Texas based they have a need for tanker division if u l k ke manual dirty hot labor but home nightly.
