Man I've been out for a surgery for almost 2 months and all kinds of changes are up in the air.. lol.

Well to be honest I'm a little disappointed with Walmart or at least my DC. I transfered back in March and signed the paper to get an extra board shift for Sat out @9am. Well two weeks after I started that ops manager comes to me and basically says we got too many drivers leaving out on sat so you're being forced off so pick you a day Wed or thurs..?? WTH how did yall not know this or see this coming when my transfer was sent a month ago....? Ok whatever didn't make a big deal

Then right before I ended going on short term I signed up for a (interest sheet) to run local. Only like 5,6 guys signed up myself included. That was just to get a feeler. A few weeks went by then they take it down and put an actual posting up looking for 3 drivers to run local. Im first one to sign up (so excited even though it goes by seniority) well couple weeks go by only 3 drivers sign up myself included!!

So I'm thinking great I got a guranteed position to run local now....well another week or so goes by and now all of a sudden we got lots of changes coming up so we don't know if we gonna do this anymore...? Well that's the last I know cause I ended up going on short term a couple weeks after that and basically thru my hands up!! Moral of the story so many changes going on I don't believe it till I see it!!

Prob cause of the up and down checks. That's what I didn't like about it but compared to this shift I'm on now I'll take a 5/2 5/3 anyday

I like 5/2 5/3. Only drawback are the weeks your paychecks only have 9 days of work on them. If you've got hobbies, family or stuff to do this program offers you a lot of time off and over 50 days a year that involve a weekend date.

    Ironhead2542 Thanks this.

Never used up my hours on the last day and on a 5 day my ADP is about $100 more.

On the 5/2 5/3, you mostly get 9 day paychecks, and you also get some 10 day paychecks. I was on that program for a couple of years. I'm now on a 3/2.

I should have stayed on extra board instead of 5/2-5/3. Would have made more money.

That's great. I'm still on target for over 120k on a 5/2. And I'm in the greater north, lots of distance up here.

That's great! Congrats! I take my tests next week. How detailed was the pre trip?
Also how was the driving test? Anything particular they're looking for? Thanks
