Boat check station

The funniest thing about these boat check stations is that at least here in the northwest most all the waterways run into each other. So the creak runs to a lake which feeds a small river that feeds a lake that feeds a larger river and so on tell it hits the ocean.

 

Some states seem to consider truck drivers an invasive species.

Several years back, I drove a truck and trailer for the USAF from Colorado Springs to Homestead AFB. Hit the AG check station in Fla., the guy asked what I was in the trailer, told him I had no idea, showed him my permit book "PROPERTY OF UNITED STATES AIR FORCE". He asked if I had the key to open it up, I said I did, but if I did, I had to call the Air Force and report the incident. He looked over my permit book, literally 3 pages, showed it to the other trooper, both decided it was best to not ask me to unlock the doors.

 

Wyoming will waive through boats they don't want to inspect, few weeks back, an oversize hauling a small yacht rolled through 80 WB, after they scaled him, they parked him and his pilot, the pilot went inside with the permit books, the watercraft inspector and the driver looked over the boat.

 

Yes they are a ridiculous waste of money.

Until they start checking every duck and goose and any other bird that flys from lake to lake they won't get invasives stopped.

 

The eco-warriors need a cause to justify their existence and to scam funds from the rest of us, for this they receive pats on the back from their acolytes and self aggrandizement.

I was in the Wyoming EB I-80 weigh station by the Utah state line. I seen a 4 wheeler go by with a boat. I asked the "customer service agent" inside about that.
He said legally it was voluntary and the water craft inspectors have no authority to pull them over if they don't stop to inspect.
This happened a couple years ago.
