All the home remedies I have heard about and tried didn't work. Bananas, garlic, potassium, magnesium etc. Nothing worked. Only way I got it down was by avoiding salt and caffeine and by losing weight.

YES you will get a three month and if you do not bring it down, then you won't get approval to drive.

By the way, go to your docs and get a water pill, it is a cheap pill that will lower your BP, do this first before trying all the herbs and homeopathic remedies.

I eat a lot of raw garlic while I drive, one bulb a day. Not an easy thing to do for sure, but it keeps your blood thin to avoid those blood clots from extended sitting stints a driver routinely does. It also dilates your blood vessels, which lowers your BP. Check into it and yeah, not everyone can put up with the smell and the sting of eating it. It is better than going on ANY prescribed medicine though.

A bulb or a clove?. I like garlic, but there is no way I could eat a whole bulb raw.

Well I've been on a very strict diet, I'm 24 and about 6 weeks ago I reached the peak of my weight, I weighed in at 307, just woke up and got out the shower and today I'm at 289. I'm keeping a strict calorie deficit going right now and praying for 270 by october

IMG_1217.JPG IMG_1218.JPG So I went to this natural medicinal herb store today and got this stuff that's supposed to help with blood pressure. I just finished my blood pressure and sugar test, I'm 105 sugar and I just had. A big meal like two hours ago, and 142/87 BP,
Do you think I should show my doctor this medicine first before testing it? My blood pressure for the past two weeks has been in about the exact same range as I just mentioned so I'd like to think my doctor will put me on medication., I don't want him to not put me on medication if he knows I'm taking this herbal stuff. Thanks in advance.

I'm talking a whole bulb, which has about 10 cloves in it. It's not hard to eat during a whole day drive session with minimal interaction involving other people.

I guess the odor really is noticeable though, as I was waiting to get my paperwork back at a food service place and someone other driver walked in and took a whiff and said, "####, I smell garlic". I was thinking it could be worse, you could be smelling farts!

EVERY person I know of that have marginal blood pressure issues that took an HCTZ/Lisinopril combination for it lowered their blood pressure. It does work. The HCTZ helps keep the sodium flushed out of your blood. I HIGHLY recommend that ANY trucker that can't stay away from processed foods get this and take it.

Your pressure is rather high. Just a touch.

My normal is around 130 over 76 when everything is where it should be medicine wise. (Including BP meds) WHen I have coffee it will kick into 145 over 90 easily. Or a big meal.

I used to have conflict with BP numbers similar to yours 20 years ago and had to get it into the 80's and stay there. Some days now for me I get up into the 220's over 130 which is essentially stroke territory. Most adults are not supposed to carry that value for more than a certain amount of time. That is one of the reasons I don't go. Of many others.

I take my BP's manually as I was trained as a child. Fill em up watch the needle tell me the numbers. Done. Plus or minus 5 to 8 psi.
