Are your commanding officers randomly tested for illegal drug use?
How 'bout the Commander In Chief?
Or do they get a free pass-no fail policy?
Let's start at the TOP, and work our way down to the rank and file.
After all, we DO know what starts at the top,
    and runs DOWNhill, ....... right?

I wonder if it's ever occurred to our leaders that THEY'RE the main reason
that the masses are tryin' to escape reality? :biggrin_2554:

As an officer in the guard, I am subject to random drug testing just like anyone else, Officers fall under the same guidelines as anyone else.

How 'bout the Commander In Chief?

I don't have a clue....but I would say no....Bush would've been booted out long ago for whatever he is smoking or snorting this second term.

Or do they get a free pass-no fail policy?

    No

As for politicians....they are probably not checked.....who else would take that job other than a ###### up junkie.

On one hand... yea it's nice to know that the driver of that truck is straight... on the other hand, what about the other 98% of the vehicles and drivers out there... are we gonna just start testing everyone, everywhere... no freedoms, no privacy? We're headed that way now... It's one main reason I refuse to support either major political party. This is no longer a Democracy any more than this country wishes to maintain your freedom. Illegal roadblocks and searches...loss of rights to own and sell weapons, electronic snooping...warrantless search and seizure... now cameras on the streets, highways and parks.... here in AZ there are 60 NEW cameras coming on line, just in Phoenix, that not only get you for speeding and running lights... they are on 24/7 and will monitor everyone... watching for license plate to face... driving by, walking by... this is going to be a whole new world folks... if you want democracy and freedom back... you better get rid of Republicans and Democrats first and open this country up to truly free, non partisan elections and a non partisan media. Otherwise... welcome to Democracy... Russian style... coming to a neighborhood near you soon.

The military drug testing program is a random selection done by a computer program and yes our commanding officers have as much chance of getting selected as the lowest ranking individual.

as for the Commander in Chief, don't know but i do know my wife is civilian employee for the military and she is also subject to random testing.

NCO'S are more subject to scrunity than the lower enlisted for drug testing. Because we are the backbone of the army and we know better.

Do you remember J.F. Kennedy? He drove the country under the influence of drugs, with his finger on the nuclear trigger.

Chopping off people's head's is a good deterrence also. If we did this, it would probably deter Enron type thieves from ripping off millions of Americans. Lets chop off the heads of traitors who send our jobs to the Chinese and Indian's. This would be a deterrent. We could cut off hands to deter theft too; we would do better to keep jobs in America and stop the overwhelming invasion of our country by 3rd world people, who are used to destroy wages of American citizens who are resorting to crime and truck driving to function in our society.

Uh...I dont know...I mean...is it possible for you to chop off your own head? Because the reason why our companies are going to other countries is because of the high cost of labor which causes their prices to go up to the point where people want cheaper products. The American Consumer buys with their pocketbooks. So YOU are the reason...you still going to chop off your head now?

Its not that we dont want to support the American worker....its just that we dont want to pay outrageous prices for a low priced product.

As far as the other part of your flawed argument...people come to this coutnry because of our continued growth...AND they find jobs that others don't want to / refuse to do. Basically, anything involving extensive (or what we think is extensive) manual labor.

But thankfully we have Barack Obama, Saviour of the Universe (and the clouds hath parted); and with his plan of taxing the heck out of corporations...that will only make them want to stay in this country so much longer.

You chances are the same as mine, it doesn't matter that you you are an NCO, rank isn't taken into consideration. Maybe the simple fact that there are more NCO's wherever you are has a lot to do with it. I just did the drug test a week ago.....and frankly no big deal......a couple of paid hours to take it......no big deal for me!
