I Don't know, look at it on Google On Valley Road there is Lowes DC, Hannaford DC, and a few others and when you get off ex 119, Walmart DC is right in front of you. None of them are new.
So ?????? If i had looked ahead of time i sure as hell would have saved myself the 6 miles of BS

Yup Yup, been dealing with these routing problems ever since the TND-700, but I really like the RM interface and there is nothing better out there to switch to so will have to put up with the annoyance until such time as the routing algorithms are changed to be more accurate. Not Holding my breath though LOL

The route summary map is a great feature. I use it to get an overview of which roads it's taking me on. It's also a great way to get a wide view of traffic and weather of the whole area. But it is a big hassle when I just want to get a birds eye view of the streets and the traffic and weather just get in the way. The traffic colors are so wide that they cover up the route and I can't make anything out when I'm trying to do this in a hurry and watch the road at the same time. I would like to see a button or something that will temporary turn off the overlays so i can just see my route. I don't think there is such a button or is there another way that you can tell me. i have the Tablet and what I have to do now is first go and turn off traffic and turn off weather then look at my route. Real pain.

Im having a big issue with my Overdryve Pro 8
When the SiriusXM tuner is running is sucks up juice like crazy. The battery starts dropping like 5% every 20 minutes until its dead and turns itself off. also the back of the unit and the mount where it connects gets hot.
Ive tried 2 different charging outlets. Not sure what to do.

Are there any instructions on using the dashcam on the TND 80? Mine is giving me fits. I push the record button and the camera freezes up. It stores data but refuses to play it back (cannot play video).

It constantly looks at your route as you drive. When you first pick a route it cannot look at every possibility for a route. It looks for a legal truck route based upon your settings. Once in route it will determine your location by Lat/Long to see if a "better" route can be found to save time/distance.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Well RM does not control the Proprietary Maps. They belong to HERE (NavTeq). What is inputted into the map system comes from the states and their mapping systems for roadways. A lot of information goes into a segment of a roadway that any GPS company has to pull the information from.

RM can in cases change small sections as in a business park to "force" the correct truck route.

GoogleMaps looks at overall roads and does not look at any of the segment map data. GoogleMaps als routes as a car.

Any GPS company using any of the Mapping Companies Databases all have to use the information in the map data and they have no control over the map data.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Then have the states change the way their data is inputted into the Map Companies.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Nope... I have access to the Raw Map data from Here so I can see the map segment information..

Their is a misconception. HERE Map data is Proprietary. Roadways do have data in the map segments that gives the router the ability to look and find a roadway via one of the bit's of information such as "roadway weights".

For example. You give a Ramp a "3" and the freeway a "3". Now you pick the shortest route. Now you enter a curve. Since the Ramp and the Roadway are "3", the router will take you up the ramp and back down the ramp to the freeway again. So.... you give the Ramp a "2" and now the freeway around the curve is more appealing to stay on the freeway. This has to be done in order for the router to determine the "weigh" or "class" of road.

    Thanks,
    Mark
