Hey guys hope all is well, have a question here, since I pulled out of JJ Keller eld program because they are obnoxious and to pushy I called Rand McNalley since I want to get the Overdryve 8 tablet and was told I could get the eld for the OBD 2 however I need the HD-100 adapter. My question is two parts
    1. Is anyone here using the Rand McNally eld currently in a 3/4 or 1 ton with the OBD 2 are there any issues with it?
    2. Does anyone know if Garmin has the same options since I already have the Diezl TDM 700 with HOS features?
    Thanks Guys

    Hope everyone is staying safe.
    Take Care God Bless

watching this, will need one for my 2011 ford too. In general though, I've done a lot with obd tools. Most all is universal now. I bet they pull the Generic Pids and rpm. I would like an ELD that allows for temp gauges, dpf levels, egt sensors and such but who knows if there is one.

What a joke. Hope Congress makes this go away for small carriers and even moreso open deck. Cow haulers are squeezing out of it, from what I see.

Chicken haulers have a specified minimum to get to the plant, which I believe is two hours. The same or something similar may apply to cattle haulers as well.

The company I drive for has put the TND730's in our trucks. We have 2017 Ram's and 2014 GMC's and we had to install the OBD adapters to get them to work. But they do a good job, have had them for a year or so and no real problems to report. Initially, a couple of them had some problems with the touch screens, but they replaced them right away and no problems since then.

The ELog app is solid and easy to use. The navigation is a little wonky and I always check the routing myself before I just trust the GPS to take me there.

I run keep Truckin on a 10 in Verizon tablet I treat like a paper log and it has kept safety off my butt along with d o t you can turn it into automatic recorder with a OBD mod for the port if it is required for your operation

We run Big Road ELD app, on an LG tablet plugged into the OBD port on our Mack's. I believe they have the adaptors for all trucks. Works great.

Are you getting the Rand Mc adapter or an after market adapters? Rand's adapters seemed expensive and bulky.

My 2003 ram 2500 will not work with the Bigroad or the Gorillia elds I have spent over 600.00 on these with no luck returning them after they both told me they would work . Has anyone else had this issue or do I need to look for a 1999 ram 2500

Put an older engine in your truck like a 12 valve. Or buy older truck and be done.
