2014 Cummings ISX15 ECM Reports DPF Soot Level

Dpf has probably never been cleaned/baked
400,000 miles is about the most cummins recommends for this engine
The rest of the egr stuff is also likely sooted up really good. Look up rawze website for information on how to maintain these systems, lots of good learning there for the isx engines.

Also see if turbo and actuator has been replaced, I believe it is about a $6,000 repair, and that is IF you replace it before it breaks and goes through the cac and maybe even into the cylinders .... these turbos are great once you get used to them but they are only good for in the neighborhood of 400,000 miles

Same goes for def filter, make sure has been changed recently.

 

Don't quote me on this but I beleive an acceptable range is 1 - 3 for back pressure.

Looks like the DPF needs pulled and cleaned. I'd be curious what time frame this report is based on with the 98 regens.

Engine oil usage is the biggest creator of plugged DPF from my experience with only Cummins engines.

Check with Cummins and see if the fuel tappet update has been done. I believe it's like ATC175 or something... Metal can start flaking off creating A lot of problems if the update is not done. If the truck has oil usage it's likely due carbon compacted rings. Cummins does sell a special oil to help with this.
