This post is non sequitur and has no bearing on the quoted comment AT ALL. Right now yes all a driver needs to do is lower the blood sugar. However based on a proposed rule making comment I read a while back the FMCSA has proposed changing this to A1C ONLY.

Millions like myself have proven it true, nice pic. I'm sure that passes for an educated response down in Hampton Roads. That's aside from the absolute medical FACT that the higher BP is from kidney re-circulation and not dietary intake.

I'm not clear on what blood sugar and A1C have to do with hypertension, I thought those were more to do with diabetes.

That's all it has to do with, diabetes.

It is a mix of three things that seem to play around with each other, and are all effected by food intake.

Moose, 10.3 yesterday from 6.6 last year this time.

So I think it has to do with stress and the cortosol that my body has built up in the past 10 months that is triggering some of it.

With the amount of stress I have from the two accidents and the diet that went off the rails plus the weight gain I have from sitting - 15 pounds - I have to change a lot of things back to what I was doing last year.

First to admit I screwed up by breaking my diet and putting everything else first.

As my daughter told me, there is no **** excuse for this crap.

I don't have sugar as part of my diet, I am down to one cup of coffee a day, one tea and lots of water but the carb, especially the potatoes I have been hitting hard and that's part of the problem.

So after I clean out the fridge today and make a trip to the libraries to return all my books on tape stuff, I am going to be filling it all back with veggies and start fighting with my juicer to produce veggie juice to get back on track. Back to tofu, growing bean sprouts (I can't find a good source of them even at whole foods) and eliminating all the bad things.

Oh blood pressure was 142/85, which is normal for a doctor's visit - I have white coat syndrome because of the DOT physicals which made me go through hell to pass.

Yeah, kinda a half though response on that one, replying to too much in too short a timeframe. Blood sugar spikes and the insulin response are very inflammatory to the system which is why diabetes and high BP are very good friends. Here and there doesn't make much of a difference for some, but many people that have high glycemic diets also have higher BP from the inflammation even before their A1C's start showing it.

So to continue on from my updates on my blood pressure. I'm still almost always 140something /90 something the last few days since I made this post and my doctors follow up apointment is on Tuesday. I am really scared he won't put me on medicine and thus pretty much costing my the ability to pass a dot physical and keep myself healthy. lol I tend to stress and over think a lot...do y'all think he will put me on the meds?
