You're not the first in this situation. Dozens of people have posted similar life experiences and had no problem finding a trucking job.
Some companies may require a notorized letter signed by friends or family that you worked for cash doing odd jobs after being laid off and that you were a caregiver for your father from 2013 until now. Some companies are only interested in your history for the last 3 years and some may want 10 yrs. , so plan for that on the applications.
Submit some applications before any phone calls so the various places have something to look at when you do call.
Some truck driving schools off in house financing. Google for cdl schools in your area and find out which ones offer financing.
Have you submitted any applications to companies that were recommended on your other threads?

I won't start contacting anyone till I can transfer my caregiving for Dad to my older Sisters and Brothers.
It's time another takes over so I can get some cash made when it becomes my time to be taken care of.
    Thanks for the advice.
I'm sure I will be back for more questions here and there.
    Have a great weekend.

I just ran in to this recently as well. Only thing I can think of is that the companies want to verify that you were actually not working, rather than working for a company, then terminated but trying to hide the fact that you were terminated. I suspect they have ways to verify/cross check your returns with the IRS reported amounts, but this is a guess.

What you are not understanding is that the Government requires employers to verify employment. Well, that is they must make attempts to verify employment. When I got my own authority, I had to verify my own employment which meant sending off letters to those listed on my application. Not a single person replied. So, I put copies in my files and hired myself anyway. The government was okay with that.

Always do this. Fill out your application leaving no gaps. If you have be creative on time not employed. No one cares if you put down you were working for a company that does not exist. Do you really think the companies call Bosnia and check with Hugo about what Dvonivich, Jr was doing? Put down working for ACME construction until it went broke or something like that.

Applications are just about getting you the job. Once you get there if you can't do it, they fire you. Get the job, do a good job, and no one cares about how you got there.
