In general, as far as this industry, that manager title means absolutely ####. Everywhere else, a manager is someone who moved into that position because they knew their job well enough to supervise others doing the same, but in trucking most these people they just get off the street to work an office job. It was a rude awakening for someone that just had military experience and para military jobs that my "manager" didn't know crap about my job. Learned real quick, not to just take their word for it. Again, not FM specifically just in general.
I never felt like I worked for any of my managers, more like they were liaisons between me and the company, but every company is different.Gravedigger77 and Knucklehead Thank this. -
