Hair follicle tests can only go back 6 months tops and That's for heavy users.

Ok Landstar question. Im currently going through the verification process with LS and I know its about a 30 day window for everything. Heres my situation/question...Im getting my truck around the 4th of September and LS sent me an email listing some items that ill need as part of the porcess (Lease agreement, release of revenue, w-9, 2290, etc) Now assuming my background checks out and im just getting the truck at that time, will I get an orientation date if I still need the 2290 and the plates?

No. I was in a similiar situation years ago, didnt want to start making truck payments until I was ready to work. My finance company was willing to do a release of revenue and such, then all was processed. Then 2 days before I started orientation I picked up my truck and paid for the 2290s at the Irs office and got my Landstar inspection done and submitted. Got the go ahead the next day and was in orientation the following day. But it was on my to stay on top of the paper pushers to keep the process moving even though I did not have truck in hand.

Hubby just got a rumor at truck stop, that LS change truck year requirement that truck could not be older now than 7 years. This is for those just coming in. Is this now true did they change truck age coming in? I know last year that that was not the case.

Doesn't say so on their web site.

    The relevant bit...

    2. What are the minimum tractor/trailer equipment requirements?
Trucks and trailers that pass a Level One DOT inspection through an approved Landstar inspection facility may be leased on. Tractor must also be capable of functioning with Electronic Onboard Recorder (EOBR). Landstar loans you the unit and pays for installation. BCO candidates residing in California must provide tractor with 2007 model-year engine or newer.

I just signed on again 7/13/17. Started the process in the middle of June, don't remember the date. No one asked me anything about my tractor. Only thing new was a photo copy of the Engine Family Number. Other than that it was the same overly long dry process lol.

That's interesting wonder if that is related to the Elogs . Our engine is old enough to stay on paper.
I bet the guy was talking about SI Choice. I know they have age limit.
