Like him or dislike him, agree with him or disagree with him but I have to say , on a consistant basis, Harddrives station is one of the best sounding Ive heard for both modulation and clarity. I was driving east on I 84 through Boise Id last friday and locals and skip was driving me nuts so I turned my squelch up to about 3:00, enjoying the silence, out of nowhere I hear " 163 from the Rio Grande, Harddrive standing by" it actually startled me and I was just amazed that he broke my squelch.

Company had to give me at least one trip out west this summer, that way when they want to start sending us senior drivers out west in the winter months, we cant say " I didnt go out west in the summer Im not going in the winter" its a game we play every year. In the summer they give all the rookies at starting pay the west trips but they dont want them out there in the winter tearing up their equipment and going off mountain passes. Sorry wrong subject matter for cb forum, Bored got me going!

 

Have you heard Smooth Operator out of Miami, dude sounds like a radio show, has music in the background and singers that sing " smooooooth operator".

 

Once I get empty here in Ft Worth will probably get load going to Lakeland Fl, have been out about 5 weeks , think its time for some hometime in hot and humid Florida.

 

I have now three radios done by Mark. Yesterday, I was talking to another driver for quite a while on my way back down to Birmingham. Because we were running so close, I had my power turned down to 1 watt. When I-20 split came up, we parted ways and I continued south while the other driver headed for Atlanta.

We were about ten miles apart, as the crow flies, when I called out a brake check for southbound. He keyed up and said, "Hey Barcode, I can still hear you clear as a bell."... ONE watt...

All the radios he's done for me, consistently get flowers for the way they sound.

 

Nope Dallas to Omaha, no Florida yet.

 

I would like to hear some of the radios from forum members, you, bored, Craig, Rabbi, and of course Tucker.

 

Not to forget Volvo, Mike, and spook, I know all their radios sound top shelf.
