Anybody here take their 34's in the Bronx? I'm scouting out potential locations for when I visit my family.
I've found a few spots, but I don't know if the rigs that are sitting there are there overnight.
Also are there any areas I need to be aware of that SHOULD be able to accomodate a truck parking but are discouraged by the local authorities?

I dunno if I can be much help on this one. I do my best to park and sleep before I get into the City. Like for example I'll run across from Ohio to about the 274 in PA and sleep then finish it out when I get up. My advise would be to scout it with your own 2 eyes before you try and find parking blindly. Please let me know if you find something, good luck.

Parking in NYC is as mythical as unicorns and honest politicians.
Lilbit Thanks this. -
Parking is no big problem just back up to a telephone post or a building so they can not open your trailer doors .Close your curtain in your cab and open one vent like your sleeping in your truck. Then Pray you still have a truck tomorrow .Danny
PS Ive slept all over that town in 40 + years trucking and I'm ok. -
I'd look for a business with a secure lot and arrange to pay a reasonable fee to park there . If they accept money they accept some liability .

Check Hunts Point Market.They have a big lot in the back.You would have to pay entry fee but it would be secured{except for dockworkers and other drivers}

Park in CT or NJ and ride a bicycle.Oh yeah and take cab money for the ride back after you lose the bike

I confess, I HAVE already found a few sites, I was hoping one of the guys I've seen parking there was on this board.
Assuming the rigs aren't stollen. heh heh heh
