i sometimes go to "work n gear" and get a few things there. sometimes, sears, or even a sporting goods store.
i always wanted a carhart coat, never got one, may get one this year. i try not to buy too expensive stuff as i have to unload/reload at each location and rips and tears can happen real quick. as for gloves, i have a nice pair of insulated gloves, but for the work end of it, i generally buy the cheap "Jersey Browns" at any Lowes of Home Depot.
i have a pair of Red Wing insulated boots that are like 12 years old now, and have been re-soled 4 times. i keep them well oiled with the waterproofing liquid form Red Wing. and i always wear thermal socks, either Red Wings, or from a sports store. -
We have a resale shop not far from my house. I usually find what I want there for a really good price. Otherwise I buy to a quality, so whoever has what I'm looking for on sale.

JC penny is going out of business. Very nice deals.

Not going out of business, but they are closing 140 stores. Which means if there is 2-4 stores in the area, all but one are going away. Oh and some areas will loose the only store there if it cannot make a profit.

I've always gone with a good set of thermals or long underwear. I have had my Under Armor "cold gear" leggings for 8 years now and they work great. Then you don't have to worry about heavy pants and such.
The same goes with the long sleeve. Otherwise a few flannels get the job done.
Jacket wise, I picked up a "heated" winter coat. Battery powered and good up to -30 degrees. I like it better than my carhart. Though I rarely wear either one as the zip up hoodies from Cabella's are more than sufficient.stacks, truckthatpassesyouby and Fister09 Thank this. -
Either Cal Ranch or Tractor Supply. For deep winter, you just can't beat Carhartt.

I have a nice Carhartt jacket and a jumpsuit for when it really gets cold , Uber Armor is super legit and I wear it in the colder months I always tell new drivers , A good jacket , good overalls , good gloves and a good winter cap will save your butt just about anywhere you go , should never leave home without them
TROOPER to TRUCKER, Big Don and Big_D409 Thank this. -
I grew up on a farm and We didnt have a whole lot of money. We always got walls instead of carhart. Same material and as durable but a little cheaper. Still wear them every year always warm and happy.stacks, buddyd157 and austinmike Thank this.

Walmart has a version of that under their Russel brand. Stuff like that can really help with wind chill.
