It's time truck driver's stand up for their rights for the sake of public safety and their own. It doesn't do any good to complain to other drivers or even your company, especially if the company is Ruan transportation. I was terminated for reporting dangerous, unsafe working conditions. My fight now has gone on five years through the court and arbitration. Ruan, Atlas Warehouse, Kroger and the Teamster's Union allowed blatant -negligence in the workplace to be ignored for many years, which led to my termination. I thank God that I got the attention of someone in the government. Because my case involves food contamination, my case now is before the Department of Labor and the FDA. If you have evidence of negligence and unlawful conduct with any of these companies please email me.

I was employed with Ruan 5 years and literally reported more than a hundred times various safety violations. The main violation, which caused food contamination, and cross-contamination was the unbelievable way Atlas stacked products, i.e. 20 pound boxes on top of dairy that weigh less than a pound. One would think a child would have this understanding after a few minutes of play...you can't put heavy on top.
Because the pallets were mixed with meat, produce, dairy and grocery, it was very disturbing, dangerous to unload and frustrating. This food was obviously going to families.
Several drivers had been injured and one lady worker from Kroger was killed when a pallet of water fell on her. I'm sure there are many more incidents that have been covered up.
If you go to my Facebook page you will see a couple of pictures of these pallets that would constantly fall. I have many pictures that I also presented to Ruan.
There were many other safety violations that were ignored, especially by Kroger where we worked. Emergency doors bocked from overstocking, power jacks that would run by themselves, metal dock plates that you would have to lift up by hand while someone stood on the plate for it to go down. If you did take your hands out quick enough you would surely lose them.
You will also see a letter from the Department of Agriculture on my Facebook page verifying the food contamination and the fact that it doesn't matter where it occurred. You see, this was their scheme to avoid responsibility. Ruan's response was they cannot control the working conditions of Atlas and Kroger. And yes, I reported it to OSHA, the Department of Transportation because many trucks had faulty steering, and to several Congressman. My letter to the White House prompted the upcoming hearing that hasn't been scheduled yet.3031 Thanks this. -
