lol, the "dent" is the size of my fist and the scratch is about a foot long on the roof, they are talking about Nissan may want to crush it because they are citing roof integrity concerns, SMFH!
This business is getting more stupid daily.
Anybody know what Nissans damage claim ceiling is at?

What are the chances it was damaged before it was picked up? Did your guy get up there to look it over prior to loading? Seems a high profile vehicle might present certain challenges as you can't easily look at the roof without a ladder or climbing up onto the truck prior to loading to get a look at it.
And as for the crushing, if I had to pay for it you dern well better believe I'd be keeping it. If you're going to repair it prior to selling it, that's fine too...I'll pay the cost of repairing the damage. You want it back for the crusher, and it's all on you.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
Highly doubt it was damaged at pickup as it came from the factory yard, not a rail yard, and you can see the dent standing on the ground, of course you do have to look up, but if he missed that at pickup, it's still on us.
From what I understand, if they decide to crush it, there is no salvage, or buy back available? -
& yes to the question above from what I have read in various agreements.
Have not read Nissans agreement, but maybe GM & VW group had several paragraphs on how roof/core structure claims would be handled. Claim value numbers seemed low in those agreements, but went straight to totalled & they would dispose of the vehicle to be clear of any future liability. Mfg's also cannot sell direct to end consumer. This completely sucks if that is the route they go with this case.KANSAS TRANSIT, passingthru69 and crb Thank this. -
Typical Nissan. They aren't anything more than a rental car company anymore.

Because it's the roof they'll push to crush it. Cheaper to have you pay to crush it than for a customer to rear end someone in 6 months and the lawyers decide the accident happened because the roof had a dent.
