I'm returning to trucking. Please help me decide where to go.

Girton Propane Service hires new cdl grads on a case by case basis. They haul agricultural chemicals and based in Kansas. They don't advertise they hire new cdl grads.

 

Put your resume on "Indeed" website and probably get some job offers.
Love's sometimes hires new cdl grads even though their website has "2 yrs. experience required." A few drivers that post on here went right to work pulling tankers there, right out of school. Another a week or so ago posted Love's called him about a tanker job.
Love's has two ads on Indeed right now. Go to Indeed website and enter "tanker driver" and "Oklahoma City,OK" and you'll see the ads. You can also post your resume there.

Line Haul Drivers operate various tractor-trailer combinations for extended periods of time, over long distances, between company terminals or yards, company facilities and customer facilities or work sites to pick up, transport, and deliver freight.
My buddy works for Saia in another state and they stay in hotels on the road. You may be tired of all that since you drove tour buses.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Maintains a Class A CDL
• Maintains T, N, and H (or X) endorsements
• Minimum 1 year tractor trailer experience

 

DOT Foods in Ardmore. Choose transfer driver if you don't want to break down freight. Home at least weekly, 55k min to start. Message me if you want more info.

Your list pretty much cuts half the potential pool of trucking in your area.

There should be a McKesson yard full of trailers loaded and rolling provided you can use the MC Carrier DOT number on the side of the unmarked tractors to trace the employer and apply with same. You run out overnight. deliver at sunrise (Staying in your cab, million dollar plus value loads...) and they reload you bales of cardboard in 15 minutes, off you go. Back to the McKesson yard, drop hook another load off you go.

 

I understand how he feels. I'd rather be OTR driving a nice truck that's set up for driver comfort; television hookups, refrigerator, and most important, a Tripac APU. Let someone else have the hotel room, I'll sleep in the truck.
We had a choice during a 34 hr. reset; $50.00 cash or a hotel room . I always took the cash.
