now of course if it IS a self defense use of the gun, there is still NO way to foresee an amicable end to one's carrying a gun will go. then there are civil lawsuits for wrongful death.

yes, that's right, wrongful death. if YOU were to be killed by a perp, your family has the right to sue the accused for compensation.

so now, if YOU KILL the perp, and you are using a gun that is against the law to have or carry in THAT particular sate, YOU CAN BE SUED as well, and most likely will lose your job, and getting another job, may be tough as well.

so carry on this inane debate on carrying guns, legally or illegally, concealed or open....i'll live my life as i have always lived.

Don't know any state where a person can't have a firearm. But there are states that write in there constitution that one will need to be permitted to carry, and that may be outlined to opeanly or conceald. I carried for 2yrs with no problems from the company or shippers and customers.

right, if state X has permit laws, then the person MUST have a permit, but that does not mean it is still legal to carry in that state. been thru this debate many times before, nothing new to be said.

i do as i wish, others do as they and life goes on.

like wearing a helmet when riding my motorcycle. i do, others don't, but no one busts chops over it...done deal.

A couple of states that I know of that are restrictive on firearms are New Jersey and Massachusetts. Massachusetts doesn't recognize any concealed carry permits from any state and they restrictive on who they issue FOID cards to.
