They don't want to lose too many drivers before peak season. They will wait until it slows down to cut programs, set runs, and install cameras. They will continue to hire at all locations to build up a driver reserve when the mass exodus comes. We've had 3 drivers quit at my D.C. in the last 2 weeks. One had 23 years in and 2.8 million safe miles. The next few months are going to be very interesting.

Not sure. It is just too late now to start moving drivers around. Honestly it wouldn't bother me in the least if we went to once a year realignment. Most drivers stay the same day/gate time anyway for years. I am just along for the ride with the rest of you. In my humble opinion, we would need up to about 200 drivers if they were to put us all on a program. With our current driver pool and equipment, we would have trucks sitting. Just gotta keep riding that wave till it lands.

Walmart needs to change their web site. It says 300 mile average length of haul. Try 100 miles.

"Average" is the key word. Remember not everyone is around a big city. Yesterday I had 292out to store 292 back 624 miles for the day 5 paid activities barely cracked $400 day.
I've run only barely 400 miles with 15 paid activities and cracked 400/day.
Seems to be a lot of complaining lately. Does everyone remember how great the job was you left to come here? Just food for thought.

Yes I do remember, that's why im complaining. I got paid. 40 mile and $43.00 per load. Had 4-5 loads and 300 miles a day. Made $293-$336 a day and home every night. Working 8-12 hours a day. Though I'd make more here and I'm making the same without being home.

Puppuller 57 and georgear1084 Thank this.
