Does the fire department check your DAC?

    I've been thinking of hanging up on trucking and going to the fire academy. I know they do an intense background check, but do they check your DAC?

    My DAC isn't good no, but everything else checks out. Clean driving record, no felonies, tickets, or misdemeanors.

    my wife is a retail manager at a corporate ran convenience store, they use Hireright to do their background checks. Seeing how the DAC report is now ran by hireright, I think its safe to say that if the fire dept uses their services you can almost bet anything on your background is there

    I sure hope so. I know you have to have a class C to drive a fire truck, that's why I'm wondering if they check it.
