I did my physical and road test in Houston today. I do the agility test next Wednesday. Then a couple days in training, since I'm experienced. I can't wait to get started.

Can anyone tell me anyone tell me about the Axis,AL terminal? Is this a good terminal for an owner operator? I spoke with the terminal manager and like what she had to say. She told me they have a lot of out and back and lots of work, she said they could keep me busy and as for as money it depends on the work ethic of the driver and how much you want to be home. She said it ranges from 160,000 to 280,000 a year. Does this sound right? Most of my career has been in tanker mostly in the oilfield. I leased my truck to Miller transporters for a year and was gone all the time and only made 208,000. Very rarely did I take off and I expect more for the time, they just could not keep me busy. I was always laid over. I do not like job hopping and want a little info before I make a decision.

Anyone know if they are currently hiring for regional at the Houston terminal? My husband applied a couple years ago and never heard anything, and just tried applying again yesterday. He's got almost 13 years CDL experience, about 6 of those in tanker, hauling waste water, crude oil and septic and grease. Perfect record. The only negative is his job history over the past 3 years, though he's been with his current company just one month shy of a year. Just curious if anyone knows anything or how long it takes to hear back. Thanks!
