Yea, all the dispatches submitted plans to cut runs and increase loaded miles, they sent many back and said they were not drastic enough. They were in the process of resubmitting when the on hold order came out. Waiting brings tension I guess.
Walmart here I come!

I have heard a bunch of bad reviews about Wal-Mart as of late.. Driver are upset about the facing camera's. Right now, I work at shaw industries here in the dallas area and i am at home everynight with no weekends. The only problem is the pay.. I make over 53,000 per year. Is it really worth it to give up my current job and go and work for Wal-Mart??? I was told i would be on a 5/2 making over 82,000 per year.
Also, I will be working out of the plainview texas D.C. and will be away from my family. My daughter will be in kindergarten starting August 21st. I have my Pre Trip and Road test on August 24th.. Is it really worth it???? -

If you have to ask give the spot to somebody that really wants itgeorgear1084 Thanks this.

It depends on whether or not you are happy where you work. Yes it is more money but a lot more hassle. Ifyou are happy at your job, you never work a day. Do you really want a job where the company is watching you every day waiting for you to make one small move that will give them reason to fire you? You will be working weekends and not have the vacation time you have now. Still, if you need the money bad and can stand the BS...Chewey2 and georgear1084 Thank this.

For you is it worth 30k to be away from family for 4-5 days every week. All other BS aside that is really the major determined factor for you IMO. All jobs have BS some more than others. I'm also in the dallas area. There are ton of local jobs some pay better than others. Shouldn't be real hard to find one that pays a little more than what you currently make and home every night.
Also do you plan on moving? Plainview to Dallas every week is a long haul. It's like 370 miles one wayTexasTrucking, Chewey2 and Sky High Thank this.
