Spartan Sands looks to be a broker "under" TW Transport. Hard to find any information on them anywhere on the internet. Don't want to frustrate you Dave but buyer beware with companies you can't find any information on and that don't require standardized safety certs to work for them.
Going rate hauling frack?

Clear as mud...TheyCallMeDave Thanks this. -
First off thanks for the assistance AC. I wondered about the certification deal. I spoke with him earlier and when I asked he said we were delivering to "pads" he never really said "wells". As previously stated I'm not familiar with anything in the oilfield. I read that link you just posted, and you said "clear as mud" would you mind clueing me in on what you're seeing when you look at that? I'd appreciate it. I'm leaving my wife and 1 year old son who've I've seen everyday since he was born and I sure don't want to make a mistake, although I know there's no perfect company, especially in the oil field.

By the way plater, I found out earlier that atleast 15 miles of this particular route will be on lease roads.

Now I'm right back to be in between the 2 companies after pondering on this a bit. It's gets frustrating.

Just remember if they have an empty seat in a truck that means somebody quit due to frustration. If it was the greatest job on the planet people would never quit and there never would have been an opening for you. Generally the best jobs to get are the ones that you need to be on a 7 year waiting list to get in the doorplater1 and TheyCallMeDave Thank this.

I hear ya loud and clear porkchop. Unfortunately I need to take one of the 2 in order to provide as my local job market is horrible. Looks I'm trying to pick the less of the 2 evils.

This should be the first thing they teach you in Truckers school.

I just meant clear as mud that a trucking company that's not authorized for transport owns a company that's listed as a broker and you are hired to haul sand for a broker. Clear as mud who you are actually working for and that fact no one has any info on them leads me to believe they are grasping at straws to get drivers.
Pads and wells are the same thing. Oil field locations. Pads can have one well or 30 wells on them. Either way you need certs to get on site... Best of luck.TheyCallMeDave Thanks this. -
There are several good outfits I've talked with. When I ask to talk to an actual DRIVER, ALL BETS ARE OFF & THE STAFFER IS BEFUDDLED. DO A TON OF HOMEWORK.
