The unit is a 2007 so maybe it has a binary switch. What does the binary switch do?
The only gauge I can think of is a multimeter set to volts monitoring the supply to the fan. If the AC5 error appears and the voltage is good but the fan isn't spinning then its the fan. Only problem with that is that if there is an AC5 the thing turns off anyway.
So please expand a little I'm listening believe me, I am very interested.

The only thing that triggers an ASC is the low high pressure switch. If the condenser fan is turning when it happens then obviously that's not it. If board sends power on the 7CL wire than it must see power on 7CLA at the same time. The order is this, 7CL from board to high pressure cut out, then after the high pressure cut out switch that wire becomes 7CLA, at that point it splits, one way goes back to board to tell the system that everything is ok. If You dont have power after the switch than you have a bad switch or wire or you legit are getting head pressure spikes. If your harness behind the cab that is going to condenser is folded and zip tied tight that will cause a problem. Cut all that extra slack out and but connect with heat shrink. The harness is for the fan and high pressure cut out switch. If they folded and zip tied it tight on install and didn't cut the excess then that may be your issue.

The binary switch is a combination switch that is low and high pressure. Have they replaced that? Email me N1sid88@gmail.com

I want to answer you but I need to think about what you have said. I'll digest it and see if I can apply this info. Many, many thanks.

Not a problem. If that binary switch is old I would replace it and get a new drier on there also.

I'm looking into the HP2000 supposed to be the quietest with the highest btu output at 20000 both ac and heat, Kohler or Perkins engines

I bought a Honda EU3000is, it works perfectly. And with the portable ac, it's gets soo cold, that's the windows fog up. I spent $1200 on eBay for the generator + $400 for the Honeywell ac.

    Superb solution.
Does it have some kind of auto start? Does it detect low batteries etc?
