Stay where you are at. That little girl will grow up once. At Walmart you will never see weekends off. I know 20 plus year drivers who don't have weekends off. I would be shocked if the private fleet is still around in 5 years. I know I won't be. Not even close to what it was.
Walmart here I come!

I wouldn't come over just due to the fact Walmart isn't sure they want a private fleet right now. You'll be reminded by corporate how expensive you are every week and what a benefit outside carriers are. Think long term and pick a LTL carrier that'll be around a while. A driving job at Walmart currently doesn't seem like it'll be a thing much longer.

Talk to some drivers when you go for the road test. You can't believe everything read on here. Last I checked, cooperate wasn't telling me I am expensive every week. Yes there are changes coming. What they are, no one knows right now. I feel this is going to be my last bit of advice because I am just getting tired of all the rumors and negativity. If you feel this job will not be here in the next five years, please look for something else now. I don't need all this nonsence anymore. I have faith that this job will be here for me as long as it is inteded to be. If it ends, I'll find something else. You all have fun out there. Stay safe.

everyday. if you have been a otr driver all this time. then you will love it. the ones that have have the hardest problem are the 15 year plus ltl drivers. that have the biggest problem over here. they are so used too eating momma fried chicken and watching the 6 o'clock news and sleeping in there own bed. then news flash ur gone for 5 days eating bologna sandwiches and they cant handle it.Sky High Thanks this.
