Do we get paid anything extra for working holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas like we do on the weekends?

 

Nope not now, it's all figured in your PTO. I think some DC's give you a little % off on a gift card if you work on black Friday but I'm not sure about that either now

 

I talk to one driver here in Plano, Texas at the Wal-Mart off of 121 toll road and ohio and the first thing he told me was not to get involved with the negative drivers. Just get my paperwork and go....

 

Well here's an Opinion. I don't think some of us on here are being negative about certain things and then some things we are. Walmart is going thru a lot of changes will it be good or bad for the driver it's too early to tell. That's a FACT!! Is WM a better job than you have money wise YES!! Schedule I'm gonna say NO based on my likes and I would think most 90% of us would all want to be home everynight.
Here's another concern you need to have what kinda insurance do you currently have ded/premiums? I know insurance for family over here can run a driver 600+/month if you have most of the things and that's with high deductibles. High being over at least 1500.00.

 

You know nothing about the ltl business with a stupid comment like that. There are line haul drivers who stay gone all week. Last time I checked you drove for swift so your situation might be different than us wm drivers.

 

i was a floater linehaul driver at a ltl company once. so i do know. the ltl drivers here on this site and at my dc all have the same complaints.

 

That's there's stupidity they knew when they took the job here they weren't gonna be home.
