He was local dispatch when I started there in 2002 ( have worked there 3 times, and am cleared to come back). Genuinely a good guy.

Yeah he's been over McAllen and wearing a lot of hats so to speak since I've been back at IRT this time. Earlier in the year he was even flying to California and spending some time off and on, training new dispatch or something out there is what I heard. Even when he was in California during those times he was still over seeing McAllen or at least when I would call Florida asking something about a load they would say call the Cali office and talk to him.

Things are still going good for me at IRT. I've been running back and forth to California from the Midwest lately. Been to Washington, California, and Florida in the last month. Im currently in the Southeast hauling a few short hops. Hope all you guys on here dodged the hurricanes. Stay safe.

Not a whole lot of local cheese loads here at the moment. During the hurricanes though, there was plenty of loads getting routed back over to Clovis from HEB. Now it's back to majority outbounds to HEB and Kroger.
I might jump on that regional thing if the other routes I have in mind don't pan out.

I was wondering how the Texas hurricane affected the HEB guys in SA. I was in Thompsonville New York on an egg load from Iowa when it hit.

Seems like a cake run that pays well if you could stay on strictly those. Run Ft Worth or SATX all week and then be home every Weds/Thurs!!
    See what happens though.

I did it for the month of June because I was trying to stay close to Okc so that I could be home on July 4th. It wasn't a bad run. If you do 3 SA in a week you'll have a good check. I'm an over the road kinda guy, so as soon as the 4th of July passed I called Florida when I got empty at HEB and requested to go to McAllen so I could bounce out of that region. I don't go to Clovis much unless I'm passing thru or trying to hang close to Okc for home time.

    Crusader66 and bentstrider83 Thank this.

Sitting on Donner Pass right now at the summit taking my 30 minute break. I loaded in Turlock earlier this evening and headed to West Point, Nebraska.
