Interview went well today she basically told me the job description and asked if I had any questions. Road test wasn't as bad as I thought he had me build a set while he watched and gave me some pointers all in all he said he was impressed was surprised I haven't pulled doubles before. He said I will be with a trainer for 5 days so that I can get a routine down and learn elogs hopefully I hear back she said 3-5 days is what the turnaround is.

I recently applied to OD and was wondering if anyone has any idea how long they usually take to call you back if they're interested. Given my resume I would hope they are. 6 years driving experience. Class A hazmat, tanker, doubles, triples. Just want an idea of how they're hiring process work and how long it may take to get a call back after submitting my resume. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Usually they call back pretty quickly. If they haven't called in a couple weeks give them a call. "I'm just checking on my application...." Call the terminal not the main office.

On the website, a few of my applications say "under review." Should I just call the terminal and ask what's the status? I'd love to get on with ODFL.

Never hurts to follow up personally. ODFL is a great place to work, but doesn't get on a hurry when it comes to the hiring process. I applied early Nov 2014, and it was mid Feb before I got my butt in a seat. I'm sure it took longer because of the holidays, but I've seen it enough to recognize a pattern.

Do I call the terminal I applied to and just ask for the manager or something? People said they've submitted resume personally, but I don't see how.

You can go into the terminal and apply directly. But most is done online. I would call the terminal where you want to work. Be friendly and positive. They will talk with you most of the time.

That huge terminal in Southaven doesn't want people coming in. I guess I'll call and request to speak with the terminal managers. I sent my resume to an email under Training and Development from their website.

Ahh, ,I thought you were a driver. Different set of rules for other roles.

Call the main number and ask for the hiring manager. You will probably get a voice mail. Leave a short positive message stating why you are calling and that you are very interested in the position. Leave a call back number and best time to call. At the least you have put your name in front of them as a reminder.

    or...better still.

If you have an email address for the hiring manager, no harm in sending a short positive note asking about your status. If you have any letters of recommendation or any other form of documentation that shows the quality of your work that you have not already sent....attach it to that email for their review. Be persistent ans positive.

    Good luck!
